Decode Outlook SafeLink links This tool processes all data locally in your browser. No information is ever sent to any server. Completely free, no registration required.
A Safelink Decoder extracts and reveals the destination URL hidden behind URL shorteners, redirect services, and link obfuscation — without actually visiting the link. Services like bit.ly, t.co, rebrand.ly, and URL shorteners hide the true destination, which can be used for phishing, tracking, or delivering unwanted content. This tool resolves the redirect chain and shows you exactly where a link leads before you click.
Paste a shortened or obfuscated URL. The decoder performs an HTTP HEAD request (or follows redirects with curl simulation) to determine the final destination, revealing each hop in the redirect chain. It does NOT load the full page or execute JavaScript redirects. The output shows: original URL, each redirect hop, final URL, and a safety assessment (checking against known phishing/malware domains).
HTTP HEAD request → check status code (301/302/307/308 = redirect) → follow Location header → repeat until 200 or error\nMax redirects: 10 (prevents infinite loops)\n\nKnown shorteners detected: bit.ly, t.co, tinyurl.com, ow.ly, buff.ly, goo.gl, rebrand.ly, shorturl.at, and 50+ others\n\nLimitations: JavaScript-based redirects and meta-refresh redirects are NOT detected (require full browser engine)\n\nSafety check: final domain compared against known phishing/malware domains
HTTP redirect-based shorteners (bit.ly, t.co, most services): yes. JavaScript-based: no. Some shorteners check the User-Agent or require cookies — these may block automated resolution.
Our decoder resolves redirects server-side, so your IP is seen by our server (which makes the HEAD requests), not by the final destination site.
